Trip to Paris : Effort by 3

We were checking into an Airbnb beside Paris before welcoming my family from Malaysia. It was not a simple task, the success came with effort of each of us : me, my two daughters.

We got out of the bus, then I checked the Airbnb address on my phone. I must admit, I'm not made to read map, didn't know which direction to go. My second daughter looked at map on my phone, started wandering around. We looked for 5 minutes, she came out of one direction, and she said : I found it!

We went to the building she found, keyed in the code and entered the lobby. The instruction was to identify the mailbox with a safe inside. We found it, the problem was, it was too high I can't access the box at the far end inside the mailbox. My first daughter, the tallest among us, had to walk on toes, tried as best as she can, then finally managed to key in the code to open the safe, and took the key.

Then, we got stuck. There was another door to past, and we needed to use a badge to scan. Beside the door, there was nothing to scan.
After looking for a while, I asked everyone to back off. We observed the lobby, then finally found the button hidden between the mailboxes. We badge and passed the door.

The lift after the door won't open. There was no way we walked up to the 7th floor with our suitcases. One daughter went back to the lobby and badge, then the lift opened.

We arrived in front of our Airbnb. We didn't manage to open the door with key. My first daughter tried several times, then managed to open.

We were finally in! It took all the team to make it.

Our favorite Malaysian food

I was in the kitchen peeling potatoes. My husband came : "Are you cooking chicken curry? Yeah!"

Two minutes later, my youngest approached me : "We eat roti canai tonight? Yeah! Can I cut the potatoes? I love cutting potatoes." Of course I agreed. I showed her the size of potatoes I would like to have. She finished cutting and put all the potatoes pieces into the wok.

5 minutes later, my eldest walked towards me. Seeing what was being cooked in the wok, she said: "Is it roti canai tonight? I'm very happy."

A dish that everyone loves in my family. Can I say that we are truly Malaysian? Haha 😂
